The You Aren't Alone Project is excited to launch the Let’s Talk About It Series designed for people of all backgrounds to engage in interactive discussions to gain tools for mental health, self-care, support, and solace in a safe and collaborative environment.
I'm Chelsea, Founder & Executive Directer of YAAP. I was diagnosed with depression and anxiety at 28 years old. I always struggled with meaningful connection and often shut down in social situations.
What I learned through finding support is that I don't have to feel this way and I can't do it alone.
In the first gathering of the series, we'll have the space to explore what social anxiety feels like and how we can build tools to overcome it together.
Let's Talk About Social Anxiety
Tuesday, September 29
5:00 PM - 7:00 PM PDT 📍San Francisco
While healing is a continuous journey and I am far from done, I have spent the last 10 years building spaces and collecting the tools that I wish I had when I was younger. Through that process, I obtained my Masters in Mental Health Counseling and have used that training to grow the You Aren't Alone Project, a nonprofit organization dedicated to facilitating & changing conversations around mental health for the safety and belonging of all.
The project started in Louisiana and I am excited to bring our programs to San Francisco and beyond.
I hope you'll join me for the first in our "Let's Talk About It" series on Sept. 29th. Location to be announced soon!
